The 2025-2026 school year brings 8 new schools to the Building Healthy Communities: Engaging Middle Schools through Project Healthy Schools (BHC:PHS) program, a partnership between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, University of Michigan, and the United Dairy Industry of Michigan.

Please join us in welcoming the following schools to the BHC:PHS program this school year:

• Northridge Academy – Flint, MI
• Old Redford Academy Middle School – Detroit, MI
• Saline Middle School – Saline, MI
• Pellston Middle/High School – Pellston, MI
• Baraga High School – Baraga, MI
• Ridgemoor Park Montessori – Grand Rapids, MI
• Owendale-Gagetown Area Schools – Owendale, MI
• North Dickinson County School – Felch, MI

We are excited to expand our school wellness program to two new counties we have not previously reached (Emmet and Huron), as well as impacting more schools in the Upper Peninsula. We look forward to working with the wellness champions, administrators, school wellness teams, and all students and staff to implement the BHC:PHS program in these partner schools.
